Core Arithmetic
Why Core Arithmetic?
Many students solve page after page of arithmetic problems yet see little real improvement. The reason is simple: they repeat procedures without understanding the concepts and principles behind them. Core Arithmetic starts by accurately diagnosing each student’s current level, then focuses learning on exactly what that student needs most, so time goes into closing real gaps rather than re-practicing what is already mastered.
The CORE LEARN Cycle
A continuous loop of diagnosis, learning, and verification.
Diagnostic Test
Students take a diagnostic test to identify their current level.
Workbook + Online Training
Students build skills through the workbook while reinforcing them with online training content.
Level Test
Students verify mastery before moving on to the next level, and the cycle continues.
Core Point
Diagnose First
A diagnostic test identifies each student’s exact level before learning begins, so every student starts at the right point.
Concepts Before Speed
Foundational concepts and principles come first; repetition then turns understanding into fast, accurate fluency.
Blended Learning
Printed workbooks and online training run in tandem, reinforcing the same skills in the classroom and at home.
Quest-Based Progress
Each level is divided into four quests with clear goals, so students experience a steady sense of achievement as they advance.
Introduction

- Structure
- 60 levels · 4 quests per level
- Target Age Group
- Age 6 through middle school
- Workbook Format
- Per quest: 10 training sets + 1 test in Levels 1–24; 12 training sets + 1 test in Levels 25–60.
Learning with Core Arithmetic
Begin at the level recommended by the diagnostic test. Use the progress chart to plan practice and check learning along the way.

Progress Chart
Plan each level and record learning progress.

Quest Training
Practice the concepts and skills in each of the four quests.

Quest Test
Each quest ends with one test to check understanding.
